The City of Medicine Hat was the second steamboat built by eccentric Scottish boat owner Horatio Hamilton Ross. The 130-foot sternwheeler was launched in 1906. On June 7, 1908, she snagged a telephone cable strung across the South Saskatchewan, and was wrecked against a bridge abutment at Saskatoon.
